These are very nice bikes especially for a starter bike. This is the same bike I started out on but now I am looking to get one that is a little bit bigger. if anyone is interested in buying a 2005 250 in very good condition that has never been layed down and has only around 3,500 miles on it please contact me at dakotarager@hotmail.com. very nice bike and great for begginers or even for commuting for 70 miles per gallon. |

i have an 07 ninja 250r this is the second one i have owned! i had an 05, my 07 has a muzzy exhaust, stage 1 jets, k&n filter, 43 tooth sprocket its red an i have a red neon underglow light on it!, as for ppl saying these bikes are slow, care to come to ny with ur ss bikes? race 1/4 mile for slips? top speed on these stock are not 110mph its 120, or at least that is what i had it to b4 all the shit i put on it!, i have ridden gsxr600's katana 750 and a zzr600, along with 1450cc honda shadow custom and none of these bikes handled as good as the lil ninja! great gas mileage too!! going 100+ mph all the time an still get 70 mpg! |

For anyone who knows anything about ninja 250's, do some adjustments and you have a sleeper that can run pretty fast and cheap. |

Anyone who says this bike is too slow is retarded. I have a CBR929rr and a ninja 250R. I love the ninja, with a little work, it'll kick a ninja 500's butt and even a suzuki katana 600, stock of course. |

i am afraid this bike won't have the power you need going up a hill, but an owner of a 600 said he hardly uses his power. |

i owned a 250 its the worst bike i have ever riden. I lost to civics and metro's on a regular basis. I have no idea why anyone would ever think this bike is faster than walking. Get a mountain bike. its cheaper and faster. |

my first bike was a 03 250r, i bought it cause it was cheap. i bought a zx10r a couple months ago but i still have the 250r since it is such an awsome machine. i never lost a race to any car on it and most 600s eat my dust as well, so to anyone who has never riden one to its fullest dont underestimate it just because its a "250". and im glad i learned on it cause i did crash it a couple of times but it never had any serious damage just some scratches and broken signals, its a seriously tough bike. |

yea, i'm gonna take a class in febuary. Even with the class, make sure your always aware, and dont ride tired becouse it only takes one mistake. |

well i think its great that you're taking it slow and doing your thing...i've only rode my bike and no one elses...and honestly...i think that maybe i should have gotten a liter bike...but at the same time...i'm glad that i didn't because of how much power it has...as long as you respect the bike at all times...the you should be fine...i was told to take the riding course if its available because you can learn a lot of stuff...i'm gonna try and enroll into one...but as long as you keep in mind that you'll never know what could happen...even if you think you know everything about bikes...it could come back to you...but that's my advice to you...take it or leave it...but i don't want to see or hear about people getting into wrecks because of their carelessness...have a good ride and always be aware of your surroundings...rubber down |
01.18.05 - 03:19 |
| LittleDave18 : |
I chose the 250 mostly becouse some of the more experienced riders that I have talked to told me that if I was to make one mistake on a 600, it could be my last. I did think like you at one time, in fack if it wasnt for the low price on the new 250, I probobly would have gotten a 600 katana. This "little bike" is a lot more powerfull than most people would think of a 250 as. I wanted to "learn" the skills needed before getting a larger bike not test my limits. If I had gotten a 600, I probobly would have killed myself by goin 80mph in my neiborhood, but in about two years I'll probobly have saved up enough money for a new zx-6r. That will also be about the time I will be ready to move up. |

| kahluaminati : |
dave...got a question for you...and i don't want it to sound like i'm bashing you or your whip...but what made you purchase the 250 as a first bike? my first bike is my gsxr600 and i think its a great start...but before i even bought it...people were saying get a used bike or a smaller bike first...but i figured that if i bought something that i wanted and rode carefully and cautiously for the first few thousand miles or what not...then i wouldn't have "wasted" money on a new/used bike, costing from $500 to a few thousand...not saying that you wasted your money...but anyways...i think its great that you have a bike and starting off...but remember...you can always learn new things about riding...and the one time you think you know something...it'll bite you...ride on and rubber down |

Don't stress Dave, you have a good bike, and ****-yeah, the gauges are damn cool. Just wait till you clock up your first 100miles etc... It's a truly awesome awesome feeling finally owning your first bike. I *still* find new things and angles to photograph that blow me away, that make me just stop and say "HAHA that is soo cool!!" If it is the pattern of a tyre or the angle of a faring, or the simple glow of the green light on my gauge looks in the darkness of the building garage, man, all of it. I just love it. Our girlfriends/wives/families may not fully understand and get jealous, but I tell them the same thing I tell them about my dog, "I love it" "it is part of the family, no matter how bad it smells or what it does to your rug.". Dave, enjoy yourself mate, and don't even bother thinking about what the others might say. Untill they experience what we have experienced, they'll never understand. Goodluck, safe riding and post more pics when you get the chance. |
