Hey, I found one of these bikes locally & was considering buying it, but was worried about the way it shifts. The shifter pivot is a little sloppy & when I rode it I had to really push up hard on the shifter to get the next gear. I have an old (75) Honda CB 750F & it shifts like butter compared to this bike. Could you possibly e-mail me with a response, because I'm not sure if I can find this web site again (dtausch@yahoo.com) Thanks! |

Wayne! Now that's spirit! These old school bikes, they really have style and I'd almost say 'individuality'! I owned a GPZ 900 and a Honda Sabre, they're kinda similar looking bikes like your GS 1150. They were both fabulous. So keep enjoying your wonderful ride! All the best, and ride safe! |

I have owned my gs1150 for 20 years now.I cant tell you how much i love this motorcycle. went for my frist ride on christmas day 1984 all i kept saying was WOW this thing is fast. IT WAS The fastest thing on the street 20yrs ago and mine is still the the fastest 20yrs later. As the new bikes kept getting faster i kept upgrading to keep pace cams carbs 1327cc etc. 25 t0 30 horse can be had by proper porting and other tricks on the cyclinder head. I have 175 rear wheel hp. When this bike is under full throttle the sound is awesome no other bike sounds like a gs1150/1327 its music to my ears. IM 58 YRS OLD AND ILL BE riding this bike till i die. I keep it in the house and it still looks new. Very few of these bikes still on the road havnt seen another in years (nj area) Im a red light racer mostly 1/8 mile or less BUSA GSXR ZX-10 R1 I leave em for dead.
