OK, I'll just say this one more time. The fairing is an original Ducati carbon fibre racing fairing. I only put the lights in. The bigger carbon fibre pressurised race airbox is too big to use the headlight from the Strada road version. Go check out the Ducati museum before spouting off about ruining classic history and other crap. |

Ugly? This from from a Busa lover? Sorry, but our concept of beauty is obviously different. But apart from aesthetics, the upper slit in the 999/749 fairing isn't an airbox intake - its designed to dissipate the boundary layer (slow moving airflow) which causes turbulence around the intake intself and reduces effective intake air pressure. The 888 intake is long enough and the profile (longer lower lip) ensures that turbulence is minimised anyway. |

This was a racebike, so - no lights. The mod was done in 1996, long before the 999 saw the light of day. The nose fairing is completely different. The square headlight doesn't fit, and frankly I prefer this setup anyway. |
