sybille34r1 - We both know that at 125 mph, the race was already over. You caught up, sure. I own 2 sports and my Max so I know what sportbikes can do. My Max will chew up an r6 and most 600's quite handily. Ride one. You'll figure it our when you hit the v-boost at 6k rpm. |

I have an 03 Vmax and have run a 02 R6 with pipe,jet kit,timming adv. Afer 120mph he could pull on me, and I have no high speed wobble.Note:the R6 is roughly the same RWHP and 200lb lighter |

Just for a little added info, my buddie rides a 2003 r6 with an aftermarket pipe and I lost him in the first 60 ft with my bone stoke 04 max |

I might not take a R1 but my 1985 V MAX will tear r6's up all day long. Before you start dissin what you can't handle you might want to take one for a ride. I wasn't a believer untill I took an 85' for a ride and now I own one. |

My last bike, prior to my present bike, was an 01 Max, can almost be called a production drag bike and a ton of fun to ride. One thing I didn't like ... high speed wobble at about 125, every time. Regardless, at that speed an R6 was fixin' to be disappear into the future and there was/is nothing the Max could/can do about it.

At less than 75$ a tire, i am sure he smoke them all day long and still smoke most of you little snot nosed kids on your "tupperware torpedoes". Had Busa's 2 Vmaxs, SV's (650 and 1000)and very few bikes bring a smile like a VMAX does. For the record, he could do the same w/o the front brake, but it might be a little difficult to snap a pic of it when it does grab. |
