Default Gsxr-1100 oil in the wrong place?

91 GSXR-1100 when down on the right side and broke the cover to the ignition timing. Oil cam out there, made a huge oil spot on the road. Put the bike up for year to save money.

Now it's time to get the beast out again. There is still some oil in the ignition timing area. I am quite sure that it's not suppose to be there. some has got on to the electrical.

What am I looking at as the problem. Was a seal broken? I know there is the oil pressure sensor , but I don't think that is the problem. I have not taken it off to inspect it yet.

Are you sure it's not just left over from the original crash?

Where would the oil have come from in the first place?

Nothing else was hurt. Quite a bit of oil came out of where ever. Behind the ignition is some moving parts, that may look like they were suppose to be oiled by the system ? [:]DUNNO[/:]

I hunted arround in my CLYMER manual and came up with little to nothing.

The only thing I can think of is that the bike is not made to go over that far and the oil moved from one area to an area that it's not suppose to. Or, there is something wrong with the bike that will require it to be pulled and fixed.

I have not pulled the oil pressure sensor. The cover was broken right over that. IF that was cracked I would guess that the sensor would fail and oil would come out in quanitiy.
